Pinball Man
sometimes daily events
make you feel
like a pinball
not a wizard
shooting for
a score
coming up empty
glancing blow
job
friends
social or not
money woes
life seems
empty
surreal
perception is truth
left hanging
alone
can't run up
the score
bells ringing
lights flashing
no offer of
free games
or do over
happiness
tenuous at best
beware
the wolves
howling in the night
the ball falls
past the outreached
flipper
flailing away
in vain
down the center
lost forever
life says
we owe you
an extra ball
try
we won't be
Lucy
yank the ball
away
again
but you find
you are
on your
own
once more
game over

That is such a good analogy, Ray. I think life is definitely like a game sometimes and the bouncing back and forth that we do (often at the hands of others) is just like a pinball's path.
Good one!

It is like that sometimes. Just part of the game controlled by others. All chaos.

I will miss your insights.

I was having a bad day and felt alone. The writing came quickly.
