injury started it
but long time
coming
body run down
over time
waiting
for a chance
the knee
one part of many
crying out
no where to hide
in the world
ache pain
sleep unable
toss
turn
fatigue causes sleep
not for long
body positioned
in bed
like chalk
outline
seeking relief
drug help
one that works
two months
like a lifetime
how does one
handle it all
chronic
life sapping
overwhelming
understand
now
gets to the point
end it all
why they do it
why they call

I am the Tin Man!

one should know
it will happen
one day
age creeping up
wear and tear
occupation contributes
wake from sleep
thought only
of pain
knee cries out
can't move
knifing shooting
left one aches
slowly move
careful
subsides for now
walking at work
right one starts
to click
heard by none
shrug it off
only thought
man's way
ignore it will
go away
suddenly
realized
my new world order
where is Dorothy
I need her now
oil can
oil can
squirt here
squirt there
squeak squeak
ahhh
feeling better
all better
wake up ToTo
no oil can
no relief
surprise
not in kansas
anymore

What is True Love
Tuesday, June 30, 2009
something that touches
your heart
unknown
surprised
welcomed
words
framed in ways
shared emotions
looked at
different
moments
caring for one
another
soul mate
kindred spirits
locked in step
meant to be
forever
unknown
long time
scared
or scarred
willing to try
hand reaching
out for other
be there
for me
will give my
all
to be loved
once again
something that touches
your heart
unknown
surprised
welcomed
words
framed in ways
shared emotions
looked at
different
moments
caring for one
another
soul mate
kindred spirits
locked in step
meant to be
forever
unknown
long time
scared
or scarred
willing to try
hand reaching
out for other
be there
for me
will give my
all
to be loved
once again
